1. Who we are
EASTORY (이스토리, "EASTORY", "we", "us") is an experience service provider based in Namyangju (Gyeonggi-do, next to Seoul), Republic of Korea, offering small-group and private experiences in Korea through this website (the "Site"). Contact: eastorykorea@gmail.com.
2. These terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Site and every booking made through it or by email with us. By booking you confirm that you are at least 19 years old, that you accept these Terms on behalf of everyone in your party, and that the information you give us is accurate.
3. Bookings and confirmation
- Online payment (PayPal). Your booking is confirmed as soon as the payment is captured. You receive a confirmation email with a booking reference.
- Booking by email. If online payment is not available for a product, you send us a request from the product page. We confirm availability by email within one business day. Your place is held while we reply; the booking becomes binding when you receive our written confirmation.
- Each product page shows the start times, operating days, group size, participant categories (adult, child, infant) and the cancellation policy that apply. That information forms part of your contract with us.
- We may decline or cancel a booking that we cannot operate safely, that breaches these Terms or the eligibility rules of a product, or that appears fraudulent. Any payment already made is refunded in full in that case.
4. Prices and payment
- Prices are shown and charged in US dollars (USD) per person and include Korean VAT where applicable. Approximate amounts in other currencies are for information only; your bank or PayPal sets the final exchange rate and any conversion fee.
- What is and is not included is listed on each product page. Anything not listed as included (for example meals, drinks or transport to the meeting point) is at your own cost.
- Prices can change at any time, but the price confirmed for your booking will not change.
5. Your responsibilities
- Arrive at the meeting point at least 15 minutes before the start time. Groups leave on time; a participant who misses the departure is treated as a no-show and no refund is due.
- Check the eligibility rules of each product (minimum age, physical requirements, passport for the DMZ, alcohol only for guests aged 19 and over) and make sure every member of your party meets them.
- Bring any document stated on the product page (for example a passport for the DMZ). We cannot admit you without it and no refund is due.
- Follow the guide's safety instructions and the rules of venues such as stadiums, palaces, markets and military areas. We may remove a participant whose behaviour endangers others or disrupts the group; no refund is due.
- Tell us at booking about allergies, dietary requirements, mobility limitations or medical conditions that could affect your participation.
6. Changes and cancellations
- Cancellations and refunds are handled under our Cancellation and refund policy, which applies to every booking.
- We may change an itinerary when weather, safety, traffic, venue closures, strikes, government or military decisions, or other events outside our control require it. We tell you as early as we can and offer a comparable alternative.
- If we have to cancel an experience entirely (for example a baseball game is called off by the league), you choose between another date and a full refund.
7. Health, safety and insurance
Our experiences take place in public spaces, on public transport and in third-party venues. You take part at your own risk to the extent permitted by law. We strongly recommend travel insurance covering medical costs, cancellation and personal belongings.
8. Liability
- We provide each experience with reasonable skill and care. We are not liable for loss or damage caused by events outside our reasonable control, by third-party suppliers acting independently (for example railways, hotels or stadiums), or by your own actions.
- To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for a booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Korean law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
9. Photos and content
Guides may take photos during an experience for our website and social media. Tell your guide if you prefer not to appear. All content on the Site (text, photos, video, logos) belongs to EASTORY or its licensors and may not be reused without permission.
10. Privacy
We handle your personal information as described in our Privacy policy.
11. Governing law and language
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Seoul, without prejudice to consumer rights that apply in your country of residence. The Site is offered in several languages for convenience; the English text of these Terms prevails if there is any inconsistency.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. The version shown on the Site at the time of your booking applies to that booking.
